About Chess
In 1988, Chess started as a design and development studio to create sophisticated hard-and software solutions for governments and multinationals. After almost two decades of active development, our founders foresaw the immense potential of having wireless infrastructures in 2003. Back then, there was one major problem; scalability. It was the start of Mymesh’ development.
Today, Chess is one of the most innovative companies within the smart lighting industry. The team works day (and sometimes even nights) to further develop the Mymesh eco-system.
We are always on the lookout for real talent in every discipline. At Chess, we value knowledge and experience although these treats can be further developed. Personality is something that really determines whether or not someone fits within our diverse team.
Do you have a passion for technology, system or/and embedded software engineering? Do you like to work in a dynamic environment in which you get stimulating challenges? Do you like to discover? Are you a (slightly) stubborn innovator who adds value to our operations and a smile to our team?
If you tick all the boxes, we definitely need to talk to you!

Our office is located in Haarlem, approximately 20km from Amsterdam. Chess HQ is not the average startup office with colorful walls and fancy plants. Instead, the office is an engineer’s dream. New technology and creative implementations are literally everywhere. As frontrunners in smart technology, our office is pretty smart and full of test-applications.
