Chess realizes a transition to a sustainable world through smart lighting and smart management systems for buildings, cities, and industries. Our mission is to help you achieve your goals while reducing costs and improving health, comfort, and productivity.
As Chess Wise, we are at the forefront of the shift to wireless solutions. With Mymesh, our wireless network, we are realizing a scalable, flexible, and secure data infrastructure for smart buildings, cities, and industries. Chess Wise is nominated and finalist as Proptech company of the year 2021.
As a Cloud Software test-engineer you are responsible for the design, implementation and execution of the test systems of our cloud and commissioning products. Our cloud products represent a dedicated server per building under contract and the global infrastructure to support this environment. Our commissioning products are an application on iPad and a cloud application. We currently have over 400 servers (VPS + dockers) on-line.
Chess has an incremental build environment using operational, staging and engineering versions as part of the infrastructure.
Core duties are:
Design and realization of the functional tests for the products
Design and realization of the maximum load tests of the products and the infrastructure
Design and realization of the “fuzzer” tests of the products
Involved with the security tests of the products and the total system
Studied on HBO/WO informatics, physics, mathematics, etc with good experience in writing software code. We prefer Java for these systems, since there is a lot of tooling already available and our current systems are written in Java.
Earlier experience in testing and working with the tool sets brings a preference in the selection procedure.
The current test environment has a heavy focus on all the embedded software we have operational. Together with the responsible person you will form a team, directly reporting to directors. The test team acts independent of the engineering group in the sense that they are responsible for their own designs, test patterns, etc. We strongly believe in this testing strategy to bring the quality of our products to a sustainable high level.
